No wedding is perfect. The goal is not zero surprises: it is that each surprise has an owner and a planned response, so you stay together instead of on the phone.

Ten common surprises

1. Late ceremony (15-30 min): witness announces, DJ delays playlist
2. Rain on outdoor ceremony: indoor plan B or stored umbrellas
3. Guest shows up without RSVP: two spare covers confirmed with caterer
4. Outfit issue (button, tear): sewing kit with witness
5. Photographer stuck in traffic: 20-minute buffer in timeline
6. Speech runs long: agreed signal with DJ to move on
7. Child meltdown during ceremony: seat reserved near exit
8. Mic failure: DJ has backup mic or megaphone
9. Guest feels unwell: emergency number posted, witness assigned
10. Power outage: venue generator or candle plan B (safety first)
Tip: pick one witness as "surprise filter". You do not decide everything on the day. That role separates real urgency from noise.

How Fiancé can help

Log plan B notes in Fiancé (timeline, vendors). Export contacts as PDF for witnesses. Wedding Day mode and the timeline tool keep the run sheet handy, offline if needed.
