On the day, nobody wants a 12-page Google Doc. You need a short timeline: time, place, who is involved, useful contact.
We recommend locking it at 7 days out and sending it to witnesses, DJ, photographer, and venue. Our timeline tool builds an exportable PDF base. Typical time blocks (3:30 p.m. ceremony)
•
8:00-10:30 a.m.: getting ready (hair, makeup, outfits)
•
10:30-11:30 a.m.: couple and family photos if morning light works
•
11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.: slack, travel, light lunch
•
2:00-3:00 p.m.: guest arrival, welcome
•
3:30 p.m.: ceremony (45 min to 1 hr depending on format)
•
4:30-6:00 p.m.: cocktail hour
•
7:00 p.m.: room entry, dinner
•
9:30 p.m.: first dance, party
•
12:30 a.m.: nominal end (plan DJ extension if needed)
Each line should state
•
Start time (and end if critical: ceremony, speeches)
•
Location or zone (prep room, garden, hall)
•
People involved (photographer, witness A, DJ)
•
15-minute buffer between big blocks when possible
