The national average around €19,000 (Mariages.net, 2026) hides sharp regional gaps. Paris region, French Riviera, and other tight markets push venue and catering up.
A "provincial" quote at €150 per guest can jump to €200 or more in greater Paris for a similar format.

Line items most region-sensitive

Reception venue: hall rental, chateau, rooftop
Catering: labor and logistics
Photographer / videographer: local travel vs Paris rates
Florist and decor: out-of-season flowers plus transport
Guest lodging if most travel from far away

Levers if you target the Paris area

Weekday or off-season (outside June-September)
Lunch vs dinner (less alcohol, shorter run)
Smaller guest list: marginal cost per head shows up faster in IDF
Venue in outer suburbs with a group shuttle

How Fiancé can help
